If you were driving around Blanchardstown on New Year's Day you may have noticed an increased Garda presence in the area.
It was all part of a clampdown on dangerous driving as Ireland heads into 2019 hoping to see further decreases after figures revealed that there were seven fewer road deaths in 2018 than 2017.
