An Irish Mother Has Made A Plea For Donations To Save Her Young Son’s Life

Tullamor mother Helen Lynch is appealing for help from the public to raise crucial funds to secure a life-saving transplant for her 8-year-old son, Charlie.

So far €7,000 of the €10,000 GoFundMe goal has been raised. 

Charlie has suffered with billary atresia, a liver condition, since birth and has been in and out of hospitals since then. 

Now eight, Charlie has been desperately waiting on a liver transplant for years and is currently being treated in the UK, according to the Offaly Express. 

"I'm trying to raise money to help with Charlie's transplant journey. I'm not one to do this but unfortunately I can't afford it all myself. I'm on low income and with the currency exchange I just cant pay for it all. If you could find it in your heart to donate any thing at all it would really help us out."
