Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal three-vehicle road traffic accident involving a bus, truck and car in Gormanston, Co Meath.
The collision happened on the R132 near The Huntsman Inn this morning at approximately 6.30 am (Monday, 24th November).
According to the Garda Press Office, the male driver of the lorry (aged in his 40s) and the male driver of the bus (aged in his 50s) were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The female driver of the car (aged in her 40s) was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
They further disclosed that the female passenger of the car (aged in her teens) was initially conveyed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Several people have also been taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time, as reported by the Garda Press Office.
The press release continued: “The R132 is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
“Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R132, at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, between 5.45 am and 6.45 am this morning, Monday 24th November 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on (01) 801 0600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
