If Afternoon Tea Week (who knew such a glorious thing even existed?!) slipped by you unnoticed last week, fret not as there’s no time to celebrate like the present. Why not head to Lough Rynn Castle in Co. Leitrim and indulge your fancier side? As if we needed another reason to treat ourselves!
Nestled deep in the heart of Leitrim, Lough Rynn Castle Estate & Gardens covers three hundred acres of stunning Irish countryside. Picture gently rolling hills, lush green grass and glistening lakes…basically every tourist’s dream.
With food and service to match its magical exterior, Lough Rynn is the perfect place for an occasion. Even if that occasion is nothing more than a hankering for a good cuppa. What would the Irish be without their tea?!
Coming in at a very reasonable €22 per person (€28 if you want a glass of bubbles), the menu includes all the tasty things you’d expect at a traditional afternoon tea. Start savoury with one of the various sandwiches and work your way up to the delicious scones and cakes on top.
The food may be bite sized, but it’s not in short supply so best be hungry! Get your steps in after and have a wander around the grounds before you leave.
