The next storm that will affect Ireland is not Storm Ellen but, rather, Storm Jorge.
The Spanish Met Office officially named Storm Jorge on Thursday morning and now,
Met Eireann has confirmed that parts of Ireland will be affected.
Ireland's national forecaster a Status Orange wind warning for seven counties on the west coast of Ireland.
The weather warning for
Donegal, Leitrim and
Sligo comes into place at midday on Saturday and is valid until 3am on Sunday morning while the warning for
Galway, Mayo, Clare and
Kerry is even longer, remaining in place between 6am on Saturday morning and 3am on Sunday morning.

The warning for all seven counties reads: "Some severe winds expected during Saturday associated with Storm Jorge (Hor-hay).
"Southwest quickly veering west and later northwest will reach mean speeds of 65 to 80km/h with gusts of 110 to 130km/h, possibly higher in very exposed areas with an elevated risk of coastal flooding."
A separate Status Yellow wind warning will come into effect for
Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and
Waterford. This will come into place at 9am on Saturday morning and will remain valid until 3am on Sunday morning.
A Status Yellow rainfall warning has also been issued for all of
Connacht, Munster as well as
Donegal which is valid from midnight on Friday until midnight on Saturday night.
