Umbrellas and winter coats may finally see the back of the wardrobe as Met Éireann has forecast temperatures to rise over the coming days.
Although today is cool with a bit of a breeze, things are looking up.
So from conditions to expect and where to expect them, we’ve got all the info for you.
In its outlook over the coming week, Met Éireann has forecast that dry and bright conditions will continue, and in even better news, with the breeze easing off, temperatures are set to rise as we reach the weekend.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22, will be mostly dry, with sunny spells and a possibility of a few showers.
Thursday will be a similarly dry and sunny day with a moderate breeze and temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees.
Looking ahead to Friday, it will be fine and sunny for most with Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather revealing temperatures ‘could get up to 18 or 19 degrees’, calling it a ‘much better outlook than what we’ve seen for a long time’.
The weekend is set to bring the nicest conditions with sunny spells and temperatures ‘above average’ for the time of year.
Some scattered thundery showers may 'feed up in the flow'.
In terms of where to expect the nicest conditions, well, it’s actually the west of the country (for once).
Usually treated with the dreariest of conditions, in the forecast for the coming days, the west is set for the brightest conditions.
While the mildest weather is expected in the west, the southeast is most at risk for showers and thunderstorms.
As for the north of Ireland, cooler temperatures are to be expected.
So, if you see a big, orange circle in the sky, don’t worry, it’s just the sun.
