It might be time to say goodbye to our Indian summer.

Anyone who's been desperately attempting to achieve a cosy autumnal aesthetic in 18 degree heat will be relieved to hear that crisper conditions are on the way. Met Éireann have confirmed that while the weekend is set to stay mild, "there's a change on the way". https://twitter.com/MetEireann/status/1441371299129937922?s=20 So far this month we've enjoyed unusually mild conditions with weather stations across Ireland reporting temperatures 1.5 to 2.7 degrees above the September average. However, this weekend might be the last chance to take advantage of these warmer temperatures. Met Éireann have said that "After a very mild September so far, temperatures will take a noticeable dip early next week as a cold polar maritime airmass arrives across Ireland".  From the second half of Sunday a cooler, polar maritime mass will push across Ireland, introducing more seasonal conditions. Along with lower temperatures, spells of rain, heavy showers and windy conditions are forecast. Met Éireann are advising people to keep an eye on the forecast this weekend and into next week, as spells of rain could result in localised flooding and difficult driving conditions in some areas.
