Storm Brendan may have gone but windy conditions remain in many parts of Ireland, with eight counties hit with a Status Yellow weather warning this morning.
Various Status Yellow wind warnings have been put in place by
Met Eireann for
Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Wexford, Cork, Waterford, Kerry and
Wicklow.
Each of the above warnings won't come into effect until the early hours of Thursday morning and will last several hours.
Donegal, Galway and Mayo have already been under a yellow weather warning since last night but that has now been extended for an additional 26 hours, lasting from 3am on Thursday morning until 8pm that evening.
That warning reads: "South to Southeast winds veering Westerly on Thursday afternoon 50 to 65 km/hr gusts 90 to 110 km/hr, strongest on coasts and hills."

The worst of the wind in Kerry is expected overnight, with the Kingdom's wind warning lasting from midnight tonight to midday tomorrow and reading: "South to Southeast winds 50 to 65 km/hr gusts 90 to 110 km/hr, strongest on coasts and hills."
Wicklow's wind warning reads the exact same as Kerry's but is valid from 6am on Thursday morning to 4pm Thursday afternoon.
The Status Yellow wind warning for Cork, Wexford and Waterford comes into effect at 2am on Thursday morning and is valid until 2pm on Thursday afternoon. It reads: "South to Southeast winds 50 to 65 km/hr gusts 90 to 110 km/hr, strongest on coasts and hills. Risk of coastal flooding around period of high tides."
