Only two other 20th century songs have achieved such an accomplishment – those being Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and November Rain by Guns N’ Roses. Looks like The Cranberries will be amongst good company there.
A protest song about the Troubles, Zombie was written by the late Dolores O’Riordan in response to an IRA bombing which killed two children.
According to a report in the Sunday Times, the video has amassed 360,000 daily views in the last month alone. However, the biggest spike in numbers occurred on January 15 2018, the day of O’Riordan’s untimely death.
