From presidential keepy-uppies and incredible reality TV, to pop star pop-ups and fast-food frenzies, 2025 has been a year full of memorable moments.
Well, we won't keep you waiting to be reminded of 'em...
Here are the most iconic and chaotic moments of 2025:
A new landmark captured the attention of both Dublin and the internet alike.
An unassuming stone bridge crossing the Royal Canal at Drumcondra Road became the hottest new tourist attraction when a passer-by noticed a few cherry tomatoes seemingly “adhered by frost” to the bridge’s stone surface following a cold snap earlier this year.
Of course, this being 2025, a video of the phenomenon ended up on TikTok, and Irish social media users, never ones to leave a humorous image underappreciated.
Within days, Cherry Tomato Bridge had become “Dublin’s hottest new tourist attraction.” It was legitimised when it hit national news website The Journal. Like Binley Mega Chippy before it, the crowds flocked. The Google Maps entry was created, and before long, the entire city and its diaspora were in on the joke.
Last year saw the craze that was BRAT summer, and this year was no different as the icon herself, Charli XCX came to town for a massive gig at Malahide Castle.
A huge part of her set became the apple dance, where the screen would pan to someone in the crowd to perform the TikTok dance routine, and of course, the Dublin crowd went that extra length.
The Apple dancer had painted himself green for the gig, earning the attention of Charli and becoming the chosen one.
They may not have Sam Maguire, but Sam Fender paid a trip to the west alongside Lewis Capaldi and Grian Chatten from Fontaines D.C. earlier this year.
The crew took a cruise down the Killary Fjord, before being spotted in a Westport supermarket.
The gathering reportedly took place for the Fontaines front-man's birthday.
We can see you John Cena, gulping back your pint of Guinness.
The American actor and WWE icon was in town in August for a live SmackDown broadcast from the 3Arena.
As many do, he took a trip to a local pub, for a pint of the black stuff, and was filmed absolutely demolishing his pint in J.R. Mahons.
Ah, sure when in Rome.
Global pop sensation Dua Lipa finished up the European leg of her huge Radical Optimism Tour in Dublin this summer, and she threw a whopper of a wrap party in the capital.
The Houdini singer alongside her crew were seen partying in O'Donoghue's Pub on Merrion Row - and splitting the G perfectly.
She really proved she's just like us as several boxes of Bambino's Pizza could be seen lying around the place.
I wonder did she spend 40 minutes queueing for it?

The iconic statue was boarded up back in October, with signs saying maintenance was being done on the attraction.
However, when the boards were taken down, it was revealed that bushes had been installed around the statue to prevent the odd ‘good luck ritual’ of rubbing, or on disturbing occasions, motorboating the chest of Molly Malone, which has caught on with tourists.
Now, she is all boarded up, safe from the strange 'tradition'.
@herdotie “iT’s JuSt A sTaTuE” ok so why are you motorboating a statue?!?!?!?

Even though tickets were near impossible to get, it seemed as though everybody and their ma were at the Oasis gigs in Croke Park this past August.
The most anticipated gig in recent times, the iconic rock duo took their Live25 reunion tour to Dublin this summer, and it wasn't just the gig that was going on.
A pop-up merch shop on Stephen's Green had queues out the door day and night, and bars and restaurants were running special pre-gig events.
The atmosphere around Dublin was absolutely electric, and the gig was no different.
Another massive event around the capital this year came in the form of the NFL game in Croker where the Minnesota Vikings faced the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The streets of Temple Bar were absolutely packed as over 24,000 Americans flew in for the match.
The Steelers came out on top in the game, but it was a cracking night for all involved.
Always a weekend to look forward to, All Together Now 2025 was an absolute belter, independent solo artist Lewis Doyle Singer's live debut at the ATN was met with rave reviews.
His covers of Irish classics gained huge online attention, and he is now working on more original material following the release of "The 2 Chimneys" last Christmas and “1916 Girl” and “Come Out Ye Black & Tans” this summer.
Irish reality TV came back with a bang this autumn as The Traitors Ireland aired on RTÉ.
Deceit, drama and the typical Irish dad - it truly had it all.
Limerick man Paudie was undoubtedly the star of the show, winning the hearts of the nation, giving iconic one-liners, and being the last remaining original traitor.
Is it really Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann without a surprise appearance from a famous face?
Ed Sheeran arrived down at the Fleadh in Wexford to play a surprise set at The Sky & The Ground pub.
He played several tracks including "Castle on the Hill" and "Nancy Mulligan", and was joined by local Irish bands like Amble, Biird, Beoga for traditional music, such as "Raglan Road", a massive delight to the packed pub.
The appearance followed the musician declaring that he culturally identifies as Irish, having spent lots of his time here growing up.
We'll take him sure!
2025 was the year of a presidential election, and for the first time in 14 years, we couldn't pick Miggeldy Higgins.
The race saw many ups and downs, from Heather Humphrey's cúpla focal, to Jim Gavin's tenancy scandal, but an iconic moment came when now President Catherine Connolly showcased her footie skills while canvassing.
Before all else, she proved herself as a baller.
Is there anything he can't do?
Oscar winning actor Cillian Murphy was on the decks, surprising fans in his home county of Cork with a rare DJ set at The Pav.
The set came as part of the Sounds From A Safe Harbour festival, which he co-curates, a nostalgic throwback to his music days before he found Hollywood fame.
Ah lads, it'll still be there in the morning.
2025 has seen an array of food-frenzy with several famous fast-food chains opening restaurants across the country.
From Wingstop, to Chick-fil-A, but none made quite the noise of Taco Bell.
The Mexican-inspired chain opened its first Irish restaurant in Dunshaughlin, County Meath in September, with locals queuing over three hours to get a taste of a crunchwrap supreme.
We hope it was worth it...
