Are you sitting down? Okay, good. It has been announced that The Den is returning to our screens 33 years after Zig and Zag first came into our lives.
Ray D'Arcy confirmed the massive news on his radio show this afternoon and to say we're excited would be quite the understatement. For those of you who are a bit too young to understand, The Den with Ray, Zig, Zag, Zuppy, Dustin and all the rest was
the Irish kids TV show back in the day. Airing in the after-school slot on RTE, its heyday consisting of classic guests (including
President Mary Robinson), Zig and Zag's surreal humour and almost-daily scraps between Ray and his arch-nemesis Ted.
The first episode aired on this day in 1987 and Ray confirmed that the show will return on Sunday, November 8 at 6.30pm, making it primetime viewing for all the 1990s kids who remember it so fondly...

More details are sure to follow in the coming days but for now, let's just rejoice in the return of the greatest thing to happen to Irish television and if you don't agree, this
list of unforgettable moments we compiled is sure to set you straight.
The next question is will be getting a Christmas special? Surely 1992's Christmas Crisis
(below) can't be beaten?

Whatever the case, roll on November.
