Kristen Stewart is the new Snow White, Charlize Theron is her evil stepmother who wants to be the most beautiful woman in all of the land, and Chris Hemsworth is the hunky huntsman tasked with killing her. But this twist on the classic fairytale turns it all into something closer to Lord Of The Rings, complete with big battles and top-of-the-line special effects.
Beverly Hills Cop II - Sky One - 9pm
Eddie Murphy returns as streetwise cop Axel Foley, this time heading out to Beverly Hills to investigate a series of high-end diamond heists and the attempted assassination of his good friend. One of the earlier movies by director Tony Scott (Crimson Tide, Man On Fire, Top Gun), so the action comes thick and fast and looks absolutely fantastic.
Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children - FilmFour - 9pm
Tim Burton assembles a very eclectic cast - Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O'Dowd, Judi Dench, Rupert Everett, and loads more - for this film which kind of feels like X-Men meets Harry Potter.
Phantom Thread - TG4 - 9.30pm
This is the movie that Daniel Day Lewis has claimed will be his final ever role, reuniting him with his There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Anderson. He plays a renowned fashion designed in 1950s London who begins a life-disrupting relationship with a waitress, much to the anger of his controlling sister. Without a doubt the best movie on tonight.
Gone In 60 Seconds - ITV4 - 10.05pm
Nic Cage must reassemble his crew (including a young Angelina Jolie) in order to steal 50 cars in a single night and pay off some serious debts. Is this movie any good? No. Is this movie a lot of fun? Yes, in a "laugh at it, not with it" kind of way.
