The Toy Show's Adam King and his siblings received a very special gift in the post yesterday and from a real-life astronaut no less. The country was first introduced to space-obsessed Adam King on last year's Late Late Toy Show who won hearts when he told Ryan of his brittle bones and why he's in a wheelchair. Also telling of his love of the sky and dreams to become a captain of ground control, Adam found himself with many a new after the show including Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield who said that the two should "talk space together". Helping to make that a reality, Late Late staff reached out to Chris on Adam's behalf, setting up a virtual meeting for the two just one week later. A fairly monumental occasion for the Cork youngster, Chris has just made his day once again - surprising Adam and his siblings with a little gift in the post. Thanking Chris for the very kind gesture, Adam's family took to social media to say: "Thank you so much @Cmdr_Hadfield for the lovely present you sent Adam and his siblings - they were absolutely delighted! Such inspiring messages from an amazing human being. Our children are blessed to have met you. Sending you the biggest #adamsvirutalhug." https://twitter.com/AdventuresWAD/status/1346211684801794051 Now if that doesn't bring a smile to your face, I don't know what will.
