While there may still be a few short sharp bursts of winter left the feeling in the air is that spring has finally sprung in Ireland.

The long, dark nights are being replaced by a "grand aul stretch" in the evening and warmer temperatures.

Nowhere is this more evident than when looking through photos on #lovinireland and #lovindublin on Instagram. You guys have been taking the most stunning images imaginable in the last couple of weeks and showing that spring really is the most beautiful season of them all.

As you can see we are very lucky to live on one of the most beautiful places on this planet...

The sublime Benwiskin, on the northern end or Benbulbin, Co Sligo.i first drove past here many moons ago on my honeymoon. Then the summer before last I finally made it back for this shot.
