Investigation Discovery will run a new documentary called Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic.
The
Tiger King saga is set to continue, this time with a spin-off documentary that will focus on Carole Baskin and the case of her missing ex-husband.
Audiences have been gripped by Tiger King, the Netflix docu-series telling the story of Joseph Maldonado Passage, otherwise known as Joe Exotic. However, only seven episodes long, it's left fans with quite a few questions - several of them relating to Carole Baskin and the case of her missing ex-husband Don Lewis.
Listening to calls for a follow-up, Investigation Discovery (ID) has commissioned a new documentary on the matter, one that will delve into the murky past of Carole Baskin, the Big Cat Rescue frontwoman, and the mysterious circumstances surrounding Don's disappearance.
Calling it the "definitive sequel" to Tiger King, the documentary will feature exclusive unseen footage, promising to show "the investigation you didn't get to see".
A
statement released by the channel said:
"Love her or hate her, Carole is now in the centre ring of the big cat circus."
Is she a selfless crusader and protector of animals, who found unimaginable strength despite the mysterious disappearance of her husband? Or
are we witnessing Carole Baskin’s master plan finally take effect? Despite her claims of innocence, did she orchestrate the disappearance of Don Lewis to seize control of his fortune, consolidate power and lay waste to her foes?

That one man being Joe Exotic, who plans to reveal secrets that only he himself claims to know.
A multi-millionaire, Don Lewis went missing back in August of 1997, however, his disappearance is still considered to be an open case and authorities have made renewed calls for information following the popularity of the Netflix docu-series.
A premiere date for Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic has yet to be revealed, so we'll have to sit tight for now and wait for the
new Tiger King episode set to hit Netflix this week.
