It was confirmed earlier this week that Slane Castle will host a concert in 2019 after a brief hiatus this year.

For decades, some of music's biggest names have graced the stage at the Co. Meath venue with the like of Guns 'N' Roses, Foo Fighters and Eminem wowing Irish crowds in recent years.

The question on everyone's lips now is who will Lord Mountcharles choose to headline the event next year? When it comes to matters of speculation, the views of the bookmakers are usually a good bet (geddit?) and with that in mind, Boylesports have opened a market as to who will perform in 2019.

The company has Coldplay, fresh in the memories of Irish fans after their spectacular Croke Park gig in 2017, as early 13/8 favourites with Radiohead and The Killers both just behind at 3/1.

After this, Muse are being tipped at 7/2 while Fleetwood Mac are at 6/1.

It's fair to say that any of the aforementioned groups would drum up plenty of excitement if they were confirmed and tickets will be hot property once the announcement is made.

Who would you like to see headline Slane 2019? Let us know in the comments.
