As a youngster, Cerrone moved in with his grandparents following his parents' divorce and the pride he and his grandmother have in each other was clear for all to see. Donald wasn't the only one who Jerry made an impression on either, as she made time to congratulate McGregor as well...

It seems respect is alive and well in the UFC. According to
Sports Illustrated, Donald Cerrone was taken in by his grandparents just after he entered high school. He was prone to behavioural problems with Jerry saying "he was better with us but he was still a handful."
Even though her grandson came off worse last night, he seems to have done his family proud.
