It doesn't get much more picturesque than that.
If you're still on the hunt for a great, family friendly event for this spooky season, there's a Halloween Extravaganza happening on the 31st at The Avon Lakeshore. Throughout the evening there'll be face painting, magicians and fireworks, and it looks like the perfect family day out.
The Avon is located just 30kms outside of Dublin on the shore of the Blessington Lakes, right at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains. Not a bad aul spot for a few fireworks, it has to be said.

The spooky magic show will kick off at 4pm on the 31st, with the Fireworks Extravaganza set to take place from 6pm onwards. After a very quiet Halloween for most young witches and ghouls last year, this is definitely the spooky celebration they deserve. Nature healing means eating way too many sweets, fireworks int the background and giving very specific guidelines to the face painter about how you want to look like Elsa from Frozen 2, not Frozen 1.
