VIDEO: Man Removed And Arrested From GAA Game Because He Was Flying This Flag

Meath and Tyrone met each other in the first round of the GAA football qualifiers on Saturday evening.

Meath looked set to take a shock win over the Ulstermen but last year's semi-finalists managed to grab a late equaliser to take the game to extra-time.

Two periods of ten minute halves were played and Tyrone scrapped a one-point win despite a controversial ending to the game where Meath players felt they had been hard done by for not getting a free in a decent position on the stroke of the final whistle.

The main talking points weren't just on the pitch, however, as word came through that a man had been removed from the ground and arrested by Gardaí after he was seen flying a Palestine flag in the stands.

Irish Unity described the arrest as "Shocking" in a video that has now been viewed 90,000 times in less than 24 hours.

The Ulster Council recently banned the flying of Palestine flags in grounds but this is something that Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey is calling on the GAA to review.
