This Scenic Irish County Is Named Among The ‘Best Places To Go In The World In 2018’

While it might seem like the summer holidays will take forever to roll back around, we're already looking forward to carefree weekend getaways, eating ice cream on the beach, and having picnics in our parkas looking out at the Atlantic.

And the destination that's top of our list? Thanks to Frommers, a reputable travel guidebook, we're heading straight for Co.Clare.

They asked their writers and editors which places should be named as the hottest destinations to travel to...

And the beautiful Co. Clare was named as one of the best holiday destinations in the world for 2018

Frommers said that "you don't have to look far to find IMAX-worthy scenery at this wild, watery spot," and that "the rugged western coast of Ireland isn't just one of the best places to go in the world; it's among the best in the galaxy", citing the the setting of the new Star Wars movie.

With scenery like this, it's no wonder people are flocking to Clare year after year
