While the Cliffs of Moher make it on to every tourist's (and local's) travel bucket list for Ireland, there's another cliff range that knocks Moher outta the park.
What is it?
The cliffs at Slieve League in Donegal are a lesser-known gem that are considered some of the finest cliffs in the whole of Europe, and guess what? With a sheer drop of 2000 feet into the Atlantic ocean, Slieve League is
twice as high as the Cliffs of Moher.
There's spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Sligo Mountains and Donegal Bay as you walk towards the terrifyingly high top of Sliabh League, where the cliff face of Bunglas rises over 600m above the crashing waves of the ocean below.
What's so special about it?
A natural masterpiece of colour across a land and seascape where azure skies, wispy white clouds and cool blue seas meet the sun beaming light onto the myriad of hues of ancient rock formations shades of green and purple heather.
Sliabh Liag is "truly Mother Nature’s finest canvas where tales of myth and legend, local history and Irish tradition seem to be painted into this wild and rugged landscape", according to the cliff's
tourist website.
Oh, and they're the highest sea accessible cliffs in all of Europe.

You're recommended to leave your car behind, and walk the few miles to the cliff viewing point for jaw-dropping views.
