People Are Playing “Ryanair Lottery” Hoping To Have Flights Cancelled And Get Compensation

News broke over the weekend that Ryanair would be cancelling about 50 flights a week for the next six weeks after they "messed up" on their pilots holiday time.

It's safe to say that there were a lot of people out there waiting to have a go at the Irish airline and the response from the public has been brutal.

Some people saw it as a chance to get one up on the airline and there has been talk about a "Ryanair compensation lottery"...

Although as one Twitter user points out the odds on this really aren't that great...

Ryanair Lottery odds: 2000 flights per day and 50 planned cancellations per day. Seems like 40/1 (for 40x return). ????????????????????

And a further detailed discussion on Boards.ie shows that you would probably end up losing money on this "Lottery".

It could end up being way better odds than playing an actual lottery but we think this is one people should give a wide berth to...
