It's beach season baby! Well, kinda. I mean... If you bring a cosy blanket. And a flask of tea. Oh, and maybe a wetsuit.
But sure anyway, pray for another day or two of glorious weather and it really will be time for the beach, and now the top beaches in Ireland for 2018 have been announced.
The annual list of beaches that have been awarded a Blue Flag status (aka beaches that meet international water quality and environment standards) have been released.
Ardmore beach in Waterford has achieved Blue Flag Status for the first time since 1997 and Carne in Wexford has also been awarded a Blue Flag for the first time.
Four beaches however, lost their Blue Flag status: Mornington in Meath, Port Arthur in Donegal, Waterville in Kerry and Kilfarrassey in Waterford.
