Whether you're jetting off for a cheeky sun holiday with the girls, headed on a fancy getaway with your partner or going on a business trip, it's nice to sit down, relax and enjoy sipping on a drink.
And although we've often enjoyed a glass of wine (or five) during a flight, we never knew that we could actually bring our own alcohol on board with us.
Yes, it's true.
Anyone who has ever gone through airport security will know that all liquids in your hand-luggage must be no more than 100ml.
And because alcohol is a liquid, this means that you can bring those mini bottles of alcohol, which just so happen to fit the requirement.
Air miles guru Gilbert Ott revealed the clever hack on his blog God Save The Points: "Fortunately, mini alcohol bottles fit into the sizing requirements, and you can bring multiple mini bottles through security."
"It's absolutely fine. Just put them in a clear plastic bag, just as you would any other liquid items."
However, Ott wrote: "You CANNOT serve yourself on the plane. Any plane. No. You can't."
"You CAN however politely ask a member of the cabin crew if they would not mind serving you the liquor you brought on board."
He added: "JetBlue famously made light of this policy last year – and we know many have successfully done this on other airlines around the world."
So, although there is no guarantee the air hostess will say yes to your request, it's perfectly okay to ask them.
It's safe to say we'll be stocking up on mini spirits before our next trip abroad because, let's face it, duty free can be pricey!
