Applications for tickets to the Late Late Toy Show opened a mere five days ago, but there have already been almost 100,000 submissions.
No surprises there, the Toy Show is one of the most hotly anticipated episodes of the Late Late each year…a highlight on the TV viewing calendar for me personally.
And though Ryan Tubridy is apparently ‘gobsmacked’ by the response, it should come as no surprise that everyone wants a piece of the action.
This is the first time that applications have risen above the 90,000 mark, a testament to the show’s growing popularity. But with just 150 up for grabs, there are sure to be some disappointed fans.
Airing on November 29, the show will be broadcast live from Donnybrook.
Ticket applications are still open, but you’ll have to get your granny to light all the candles she has if you’re to have any hope of securing one.
May the odds be ever in your favour.
