This lady got us through lockdown with her many pearls of wisdom and joyful commentary, and we're so sad to hear this news.
Mary Cook of Gogglebox, who you'll know for her quick quips and gorgeous friendship with partner-in-crime Marina passed away over the weekend, according to a statement from the beloved Channel 4 show earlier today.

According to the statement, Bristolians Mary and Marina met at a retirement village over ten years ago and had been friends ever since. They'd been part of the Gogglebox cast since 2016 and instantly gained status as fan favourites due to their hilarious reactions and musings on life.
Mary was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and after so many years of watching her sit back and enjoy the telly with her bessie mate, it really does feel like we knew her too. We'll be thinking of Marina and all her family, and will miss the craic and laughter between these two lovely ladies.
