In the northern corner of the Wild Atlantic Way is Glenveagh National Park, an area of sprawling, rugged natural beauty that includes the Derryveagh Mountains and the Poisoned Glen.
A brilliant way to explore this region is by bike. Electric bikes, regular road bikes, kids bikes and buggies and ability bikes are all available to hire from Grassroutes. Saddle up and take in the many trails of this unique region. What's more, many of the cycle tracks lead to Glenveagh Castle. Take a tour of this impressive building, and pop into the tearoom and restaurant to refuel.
For a completely unique road trip, head to the Burren, Co. Clare, and explore all it has to offer on the Burren Discovery Trail. On this route, you'll drive through this impressive landscape, making pit stops in the beloved, colourful towns along the way.
Visit the home of slow food in St Tola Goat Farm in Ennistymon and discover the region's history and folklore at the Burren Visitor Centre in Kilfenora. There, you'll gain a fascinating insight into your unique surroundings and the rich history of the region. There is also plenty of nature to explore along the route as well, from Lough Bunny to the forests and wetlands of Coole Park.

This recently opened attraction charts the history of rugby – from its humble beginnings to the global phenomenon it is today. You'll also get a chance to brush up on your own skills and compete against friends and family in the interactive zone. You don't need to be rugby mad to appreciate the impressive building designed by award-winning Irish architect Niall McLaughlin. Indeed, it's well worth a visit to take in the incredible 7-storey red-brick structure.
