With Christmas just around the corner (literally, just around the corner, two more sleeps eek!), most people will find themselves sans motivation.

This trip will bring you to the ‘lemur island’ of Nosy Komba where you’ll get up close and personal with the furry creatures. We like to move it move it.
China
Though an eight-day trip is hardly enough time, it’s a good start. Take in the Great Wall, Xi’an, Beijing as well as some of the country’s lesser-known treasures that according to G Adventures “only the hardiest of travellers ever get to experience”. Challenge accepted.
India
Colour, spice, wildlife. Sail down the Ganges River in Varanasi before heading south to search for tigers. This G Adventures trip is one for the adrenaline junkies (and animal lovers, though don’t get too close). Beat the crows for that iconic pic in front of the Taj Mahal.

Galapagos
The Galapagos Islands have been on my radar ever since watching a David Attenborough documentary on the place. This tour comes complete with a trip to Quito, Ecuador’s capital, a visit to a sea lion nursery (yes really) and a birdwatching expedition to the highlands of Floreana. I can almost smell the fresh sea air just thinking about it.
Kilimanjaro
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is one of those bucket list aspirations that most people only dream of. Well, the time has come to make those dreams a reality. A new decade is on the horizon and summiting Africa’s highest mountain would be a pretty amazing way to kick it off.

While most people crave sun when they journey abroad, there is just as much to be said for a trip into the icy unknown of Antarctica. Waddling penguins, swimming whales and galivanting polar bears – oh and plenty of icebergs. Bring your thermals.
