This Pub Has Introduced A ‘Zero Tolerance’ Policy On Swearing

A pub in the UK is set to ban customers who swear while on their premises.

According to The Sun, the Samuel Smith chain of bars has introduced a "zero tolerance" approach to bad language and rolled out the policy across its 200 bars.

Landlords have been told to refuse to serve any customers who swear, with several displaying a note from the brewery's owners outlining the new rule.

“As manager(s) of our pubs, you are responsible for ensuring that they are run in a proper and orderly manner and this includes preventing the use of bad language. If customers, and staff alike, swear on the premises then you must ask them to refrain from using bad language," it read.

One bar owner said that the move "started from the brewery – all we can do is try our best”.
