Choosing where to go for brunch is one of life's harder little problems, but next time you find yourself pondering over menus in Munster don't fret, because you're having brunch in The Buttery.
Located in Limerick city, this rustic eatery is ultra cool with incredible food and the friendliest staff I've met outside of the US.
Located right in the centre of the town, The Buttery brings a little piece of cosmopolitan coolness to the street of Bedford Row.
Opened in 2014 by a brother and sister team, they say that:
"With award winning coffee, lip smacking wines, beers & cocktails, no stone has been left unturned when it came to the conception of the The Buttery.
"From the decor to the music, the friendly banter from staff, the top quality locally sourced ingredients & the general good vibes in the restaurant its an infectious environment."
And it's true.
I arrived ten minutes before opening time on a Sunday and there was already a queue to get in the door.
Seated by a super chilled and friendly waitress, we got stuck in to the business of the day: brunch.
Options on the menu include a 6oz Rump Steak, 2 fried eggs, and wilted spinach, and the 'Clean Irish', which has 3 poached eggs, 2 rashers, avocado,baked beans, vine tomatoes, wilted spinach and is served with Sencha Green tea or freshly squeezed OJ.
There's also the usual Eggs Benedict, Florentine and Royale to chow down on.
We went for two of the Full Irish, a huge plate of sausages, rashers, black & white
pudding, fried eggs, homemade hash browns, baked beans, vine tomatoes & toasted sourdough, served with freshly squeezed OJ or Tea.
We also got a half stack of buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and fresh berries cos we're little piggies and it ain't brunch without pancakes.
And OMG everything was unreal.

We left feeling full and satisfied and cheerful at stumbling upon such a fab brunch spot, although I seriously wish it was just that bit closer to home - guess I've another excuse to pop down to Limerick now though.
If you're looking for foolproof comfort in a cosy but cool setting, you need to check this place out.
Oh, and order the pancakes.
