Chapter One has been named at the best restaurant in Ireland at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
The annual ceremony, dubbed the 'Food Oscars', took place at the Clayton Hotel last night - with Ross Lewis' kitchen coming out on top in the main category of the night.
Kai Café & Restaurant in Galway was selected as the best restaurant in Connaught, while the Sha-Roe Bistro in Carlow, Wild Honey Inn in Clare and MacNean House & Restaurant in Cavan were also hailed.
Danni Barry of Deanes Eipic in Antrim was named best chef in Ireland, while there was another win for the county in the Best Restaurant Manager category, with Alain Kerloc’h of Ox taking the All-Ireland category.
Morrissey’s in Laois was named the Pub Of The Year and The Dining Room at Gregans Castle Hotel, Clare (below) walked away with the top Hotel Restaurant Of The Year award.
Walled City Brewery in Derry is Best Gastropub for 2017, with wins also for The Maigue Restaurant at Dunraven Arms Hotel, Limerick (Best Customer Service), The Muddlers Club, Antrim (Best Casual Dining), Ox Cave, Antrim (Best Wine Experience) and Café Rua, Mayo for Best Kids Size Me.
Wa Café in Galway came out on top for Best World Cuisine, while Lost & Found in Derry was named Best Café.
The Pullman Restaurant at Glenlo Abbey Hotel, Galway was recognised for its private dining, while Riot Rye Bakehouse & Bread School, Tipperary was named the best cookery school in the country.
Michael Kelly of GROW HQ in Waterford received the Local Food Hero award on the night.
