Well this sounds pretty awesome...
An Bord Pleanála have granted planning permission for a new €232 million Center Parcs holiday village in Ballymahon, Co Longford.
The proposed plan intends to construct the following:
It would accommodate 2,500 guests AND as an added bonus the new spot would provide 1,000 permanent jobs, with 750 temporary roles in construction.
Last February the development was approved by Longford County Council but construction has since been delayed by some complaints from locals. These complaints are currently being reviewed, and it is thought that the entire holiday site could be completed by 2019 if approved in the next few weeks.
Exciting stuff!
