Guinness Has Made A Big Change To How Your Favourite Pint Is Brewed

There isn't much as satisfying as sitting down to your first pint of the black stuff after a long day.

However, there have been one group of people who have been excluded from this simple life pleasure.

Up until now, vegans couldn't drink Guinness as the fish bladder (referred to as isinglass) is used in the filtration process for the drink.

Now, the brewery have introduced a new process that makes a pint of plain completely vegan-friendly.

"The first stage of the roll out of the new filtration system concentrated on Guinness Draught in kegs," said a spokesperson.

"The brewery is delighted to confirm that this phase of the project is complete and all Guinness Draught produced in keg format at St. James’s Gate Brewery and served in pubs, bars and restaurants around the world, is brewed without using isinglass to filter the beer."

The new system will be rolled out to cans and bottles as well but for the moment, vegans are advised to stick to the tap!
