Anyone Who Bought This Easter Egg Is Being Asked To Return It Immediately

Thorntons chocolate company has issued a statement asking anyone who purchased its personalised hollow dark chocolate Easter eggs to return them immediately.

The products allow consumers to provide a message to loved ones written in icing on the front of the egg. However, the icing may contain milk, something which wasn't mentioned as part of the ingredients.

The statement reads:

"Thorntons is alerting customers who have purchased a Hollow Dark Chocolate Easter Egg AND chosen to have it iced with a personalised message.

You need to be aware that the chocolate icing contains milk, as this may be a concern if purchased for a milk allergic consumer.

The icing contains MILK and SOYA and may also contain NUTS.

The dark chocolate egg without icing, contains SOYA and may also contain MILK and NUTS.

Consumers who wish to receive a refund, please return the product for a full refund or an alternative product."
