Ready to get involved in Second Hand September? There’s a virtual flea market happening this Sunday

Shopping sustainably this second hand September couldn't be easier.

If you're in the mood for a good old rummage but don't feel like lugging shopping bags around in the rain this weekend, you're in luck. The Useless Project are holding one of their virtual flea markets on Sunday, allowing you to browse amazing vintage clothes and pieces from small Irish businesses from the comfort of your living room, your bed, wherever you fancy! The market will take place on Sunday from 11am on The Useless Project Instagram via their stories, and will showcase "30 fabulous sustainable businesses, entrepreneurs, vintage sellers and preloved-fashion enthusiasts". If you're looking to dip your toe into the world of sustainable shopping, this is a great start. Speaking about the event in their latest Insta post, the Useless Project team said:

Happening on the first Sunday of every month, this is your chance to experience the delights of a flea market and support local from the comfort of your own home!

If you've been on the hunt for the vintage piece of your dreams, be sure to set a reminder for Sunday at 11am. Plenty of time to pop out, grab a takeaway coffee, come home and settle in for a gorgeous bit of sustainable online shopping. And if you've been dying to get back into a real life, in-person flea market, don't despair! The Useless Project will be hosting a physical flea market on the 18th of September at the Workman's Club in Dublin with plenty of vintage fashion, sustainably-made garments and loads more.
