The annual open-air event hosts a vibrant range of cutting-edge performances in the genres of progressive, dub, breaks, reggae, drum & bass, world music, electronica and minimal techno.
One of the best things about the festival is its dedication to helping promote gender equality in electronic music, so the line-up is full of top quality female DJs.
There's no shortage of talent at this year's fest, but we thought we'd pick five of our favourites to help you plan your weekend...
Ellen King AKA ELLLL proves that teachers really can be cool, being a music teacher slash producer slash DJ.
Founder of the wonderfully named Gash Collective, ELLLL is actively involved in the promotion and support of Irish women in electronic music — which fits Life Festival perfectly.
The Cork artist uses heavily manipulated samples, resonant beats and dark textures to create an immersive soundscape for audiences to lose themselves in.
Electronic heads will know DJ and producer Cailín Power from her residency in District 8 and Subject.
After stumbling upon a poster for DJ lessons in her hometown, Cailín quickly made a name for herself as talented selector and passionate DJ.
The Wexford woman's heavy leanings have made her an artist to take notice of on both locally and internationally.
Over the past six years, Maedbh O'Connor has been making a serious impression on Limerick's clubbers as a resident at Underground Electronic Club Night 'D.I.E', a mixture of Dub, Indie and Electronic.
Reacting against the sound of Limerick, O'Connor's sets have appeared around Ireland, popping up at festivals alongside the likes of Neil Landstrumm, Dax J, Eomac, Defekt , John Heckle, L.A.W, and Girl Unit.
So don't worry — she knows how to put on a show.
Get Down Edits is composed of two veteran Waterford DJs: Daz and Martin.
Their signature mix of funk, soul and disco has proven a hit at club nights across Ireland and taken the pair further afield to the likes of Glitterbox in Liverpool and Defected in Croatia.

Having started his career in '90s pirate radio, Sunil Sharpe has spent decades honing his skills to become one of the most renowned DJs on Ireland's underground scene.
Sharpe has made a name for himself for rapid mixing and high-powered sets, causing such a splash that he found himself invited to play at the legendary Tresor Club in Berlin.
