Week Ahead’s Weather Set To Be ‘Very Mild For Time Of Year’

This week, which most certainly the first proper week of winter weather, was absolutely bloody baltic. 

And despite us all having spent our weekends buying the perfect thermal vest for the week ahead, it turns out that this week may actually be a little warmer than the past few days. 

According to Met Éireann, tomorrow kicks off what is set to be a much milder week:

''Generally cloudy and misty on Monday, with just a few limited bright spells. Some rain and drizzle about, much of it scattered at first, but more widespread through the afternoon. Some patches of fog on hills and coasts also. Very mild for the time of year, with top temperatures of 12 to 15 C., in moderate to fresh southwest to westerly breezes.''

The national meteorological service also mention that the next few days involve some heavy fog and widespread rain:

''Monday night will be cloudy and mild. Outbreaks of rain will occur mainly across the west and north, but the south and east dry. 

Tuesday: Very mild in a moderate southwest breeze. Some dry spells will arise, but with outbreaks of rain too. 

Wednesday: Continuing mild but overcast with widespread rain. The rain will be heavy in many areas - especially across the south accompanied by low cloud and mist. South or southwest winds will be strong at times. 

Thursday: Cooler and blustery with dry sunny breaks and occasional heavy showers. Winds mainly from the southwest will be fresh.''
