Temperatures Drop To -2 Tonight As Ireland Is Hit With An Urgent Weather Warning

After Storm Diana terrorised us last week, it looks like Ireland's weather is going from one extreme to the next.

Met Éireann has confirmed that temperatures will drop to -2 tonight as Ireland has been hit with a weather warning.

They say that:

"Cold tonight (Monday) under mostly clear skies. However, a few scattered showers will occur, mainly in west Ulster and northwest Connacht.

"Lows on Monday night will range from +1 to -2 degrees, with a widespread frost and some icy stretches on untreated surfaces. Isolated patches of mist and fog will form also."

They have also hinted at severe frost, ice and the possibility of snow for the whole country this week.

But, the weather warning, however, is not for frost or snow but more fecking rain in the south of the country.

A status yellow Rainfall warning has been put in place for just three counties: Wexford, Cork and Waterford.

The warning, which is in place from Tuesday at 3pm until Wednesday at 12pm states that: "Up to 30mm in places, with locally higher accumulations in upland and coastal areas, will lead to spot flooding."

Wrapping up well and staying dry is a must over the next couple of nights so it's time to get searching for the hot water bottle and jacket again.
