Add us as a preferred source on Google »Bad news for Ulster Bank customers around Ireland as it's been announced that 22 branch locations will close.
The branch closures will mean 220 redundancies from the branches.
Areas that will be affected include:
Other closures will be Ballyhaunis in Mayo, Ballymote in Sligo, Carrickmacross in Monaghan, Edenderry in Offaly, and Edgeworthstown in Longford.
Ulster Bank said to RTE that an average of 30 customers per day used each of the affected branches in the past week.
The closures will take place from June and September, and comes as 62% of Ulster Bank's customer interactions in 2016 were digital, compared with 10% in branches.
