The extreme weather conditions facing Ireland at the moment are not letting up yet, as another two 'mini-storms' look set to hit our shores.

Speaking to Independent.ie, meteorologist Evelyn Cusack stated that, in addition to Storm Eleanor, we can expect two weather events in the southwest of the country over the next two days.

The weather expert stated that these do not appear to be major events at this point, but their status is "not certain" as of yet.

As for Storm Eleanor, which has left 15,000 homes without electricity following last night's powerful winds, a status yellow warning is still in place for Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Wicklow until 6pm today. 

The storm caused extensive damage in Galway last night and road users are being urged to be cautious of flooding and debris in affected areas.
