Two people have died and a third is in a serious condition after a spate of motorcycle accidents around Ireland this weekend.

The first collision took place in Mungret in Limerick, when a man in his 50s struck a roundabout shortly after 7.30pm.

He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick but was tragically pronounced dead a short time later.

According to RTÉ News, a second motorcycle collision also occurred in Limerick yesterday evening, with a a man in his 20s killed in an incident in Southill around 7.40pm yesterday.

A third male motorcyclist was killed following a collision at the junction of Navan Road and Ratoath Road at 2.30am last night.

Garda are seeking information on all three collisions and anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest garda station.
