Today is officially the last day to send any cards, letters or parcels to friends and family in Ireland, if you want to guarantee that it will get to them before Christmas.
This year An Post hired an additional 300 staff to help with the increased demand in the postal service.
Anna McHugh of An Post told Today FM: "We're working 24 hours a day, volumes are very high."
Ms McHugh advised people to double check the address on the letter and to seal parcels securely.
She added: "If you're sending parcels, use lots of strong paper, lots of tape, and always include a return address."
Final deliveries will be carried out on Saturday, so they will arrive on time - if you get sorted today!
