This Tesco Food Product Is Being Urgently Recalled

Tesco is recalling a batch of their 'Finest Chocolate Cake' as it contains walnuts that were not declared on the label.

The affected batch of cakes have a best before date of January 17 2018, and were sold in Tesco stores all across the country.

The batch code for the affected cakes is D32/18003.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued a warning on their website today stating: "Tesco is recalling a batch of its Finest Chocolate Cake as some of it was incorrectly packed with carrot cake."

"The carrot cake contains walnuts which are undeclared on the label."

"This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of walnuts."

Customers who have purchased the affected product are asked to return it to the store.
