Sky News presenter Adam Boulton has said that Irish people need to "get over themselves" after an interview he carried out with Tánaiste Simon Coveney was met with widespread criticism.
Boulton was slated for his rude and condescending tone after he asked Coveney whether he felt "guilty" about Ireland's approach to Brexit negotiations.
"Do you think that this week’s kerfuffle has been necessary? Do you feel slightly guilty that perhaps the Irish government over-briefed what had been achieved as a victory over the British for the European Union?" he said.
Coveney did us proud with an intelligent and measured response that refused to stoop to Boulton's level.

The clip has gone viral and Boulton isn't happy with the continued negative attention he's been receiving.
Rather than apologising, last night he took to Twitter to say: "Bored now. Some of you Irish need to get over yourselves. Interviewing is about challenging the interviewee not respecting."
Once again, people are not impressed.
Complete ignorance. Maybe put a little more thought into your both your interviews & responses. Also, keep in mind the ‘Irish’ pay some of your salary via sky subscription. Either way, feel free to challenge the interviewee but RESPECT ✊ is just as important.
