The average deposit needed to buy a house in each county of the Republic of Ireland has been revealed. And they ain't easy to look at.

The below figures are based on the average asking price for houses in each county, and then allocating a 10% deposit which is then needed to purchase the house.

According to Daft's House Price Report, the cheapest place to buy a house is Leitrim at €12,388, with South County Dublin soaring to the top spot at €56,344.
