Global market research company Mintel surveyed 2,000 men and women in the UK to find some cold hard facts about the hours people are clocking in the bedroom.

Here's what they found:

• The average person has sex 5,778 times in their lifetime
• 3% of people have sex every day
• 20% of people have sex a few times a week
• We spend on average of 2,808 hours of our lives gettin' jiggy (assuming you're sexually active from 16-60)
• That's a whopping 117 days
