This Is How Much Irish Universities Make From Repeat Exam Fees

It's been revealed that Irish universities are earning millions from exam repeat fees.

According to the Irish Independent, UCD earned almost €2m in one year from these fees, which cost students €230 to repeat a module or an exam.

The majority of universities in Ireland charge students to retake exams they failed.

The University of Limerick charge students €171 to repeat a module, earning them over €1.8m over the last five years. 

Trinity College in Dublin does not charge students for exam repeats. 

University College Cork earned almost € 700,000 in the last three years from resit fees - it costs students €35 for each module repeated, with a maximum charge of €245.
