A heavy night boozing pretty much guarantees a heavy headache the next day, but sure look it's a curse we've always been willing to bear.
Except that is, when you've work the next day or something important. Where is our willpower for the love of God?!
Turns out our willpower has now been turned into a very clever app that sends you questions and reminders while you're on a night out to tempt you back home and away from the cocktails.
Developed by medical research organisation the Burnet Institute to cut down on binge drinking in university students, with app designer Dr Megan Lim telling ABC:
"You register with the app and then [set it] saying which night you might be going out.
"On that particular night, at 6:00pm, you will get a message asking you to take a survey."
The survey asks you questions like "do you have work tomorrow?", "what time do you intend on going home?", "you have spent more than you wanted to tonight", or "don't forget you have an exam at 8:00am tomorrow" and throughout the night the app sends txts to your phone as a deterrent to stop drinking.
It's still in research mode, so as of yet it not available to the public.
