Irish whiskey fans can however, get Aldi's Highland Black 8 Year Old Scotch Whisky, which also won a coveted spirits prize.

The supermarket brand won a total of five awards for its own-brand whiskey range, and made recent headlines with their award smashing Boyle's Gin.
