If you've been secretly dreaming of having a luxurious weekend stay in a hotel fit for a king, you can tempt yourself with the fact that you won't have to travel far.

Two hotels in Ireland have just been named in influential travel mag, Travel and Leisure's 'World's Best 100 Hotel' list, as part of the Travel and Leisure’s 2017 World’s Best Awards.

Beating out stiff competition from across the globe, Ireland's very own glam estates have placed at 59th and 39th in the list which was voted on by users from all over the world.

As for the best hotel in the world? That prestigious award went to Nihi, an eco-friendly resort on the Indonesian island of Sumba.
